So far, senior year seems as it will be a constant mix of emotions. On the one hand, I am eager to leave, and on the other, I am sad and nervous to leave my best friends and have to make new ones. I am looking forward to leaving Liberty and seeing where I’m going to go to college, but nothing is certain and the future is very unclear. Applying to college is exciting, yet beyond stressful. The feeling of being a senior is honestly one of the weirdest things. My life in Liberty- the life I’ve known for so long, is coming to an end. I moved here 10 years ago and to call somewhere else home seems foreign. To watch new friendships form, and old ones grow, and to know they may only last until August is heart-rending. Through this sorrow and uncertainty, I know that my life will change for the better and that what is meant to happen will happen. My life will truly start after high school and I know I will find who I am. I will experience independence and pursue my passion. So, while senior year may be hard for many reasons, I know that what comes after it will more than make up for it.
