Sometimes we think that being kind can take a lot of effort, but truly it doesn’t, it can be as simple as flipping a light switch. Start by making some small changes in your day that can lead to huge impacts in someone else’s day. There are many simple ways so here are some suggestions.
You can smile at someone you see in the hallway, or compliment a person on their outfit. You can also hold the door if you see someone walking behind you, or even just asking how they’re doing is a great idea because it’s always a good feeling to know that someone cares.
Some other ways are saying thank you and just having common courtesy towards others.
While these acts may seem like nothing, they can change someone’s day for the better, you never know what someone may be struggling with in their personal life so you should always show kindness to everyone you see.
It’s the same as a domino effect, when you spread it to someone it makes them want to share it with others, and then those people also spread it, and so on and so forth. It encourages them to repeat the good deeds that they have received.
The definition of a kind person is someone who is willing to do good for someone else and putting others before themselves. Meaning that you aren’t always focused on yourself, but thinking of other people’s needs and what you can do to help.
Another way to be kind can be writing a note for a teacher, a friend, a family member, or anyone just saying you appreciate them and you hope they’re having a good day. Even listening to someone talk and being there for them can do a lot.
By implying all of this into your life you can create a happier life for you and a better world around you.
