Hello Peter, welcome to Fortnite. Fortnite is a battle royale game with 100 or fewer players in different modes, including teams and free-for-all. The game was released in 2017 and has been growing ever since. Fortnite has 5 chapters consisting of several seasons.

I love the game of Fortnite, personally for me, it peaked in season 4 chapter 1. It has been an ever-changing game. In recent years it has taken a downfall. All the components of the game have gotten worse. They added OG Fortnite, which took the world by storm with 100 million players in November. After that went away the newest season, Chapter 5 Season 1, was released, and it is awful.

Many people agree that this is not a good season at the beginning, but their perceptions change.

(Quote) “My thoughts on the new Fortnite season is at the first few matches I played, I thought it was pretty bad. After a few other matches, I started to really like it. The customization and the vehicles were awesome.” said Sophomore Kai Crisenberry

However, some people still state that it is not as great as the other seasons. This new season with a new map, guns, and overall feel doesn’t amount to the game’s previous versions.
(Quote) “ I played the new season and overall I was disappointed. The new season is not that good because they added new movement that makes the game annoying and challenging to play,” said Freshman Dillon Von Gunten

Overall the general demographic doesn’t like the new Fortnite season. They would rather go back to older seasons. Epic Games could improve further in many different categories to keep players playing, and new players interested. People don’t like the season for the following reasons.

• The new movement
• The new map and locations
• The new guns
