Dance to the BEAT of Your Own DRUM

A french horn player for the Liberty North High School marching band recently participated in a band competition.

“The drum line did way better than all the other drum lines but we still got second,” freshman Isabel North said.

Drum line performs at all kinds of school activities including sports games and team sendoffs.

“The color guard did really good. There was this one band that their music turned off and everything got messed up after that,” North said.

In her perspective, when the music turned off, the other team’s routine got very messed up.

“In our field show we did really good and played good dynamics, we listened to the drum line and performed an amazing last field show. Even though we were all bummed out that we got second place in everything, I still think that we did really good,” North said.

Freshman Caleb Reibenstein is an Alto saxophonist for the Liberty North High School marching band. Reibenstein also had an opinion on how well they did that weekend.

“I felt like it went well although it wasn’t our best performance, it was still a good one. The formation was a little off and the Pit was ahead of the Battery,” Reibenstein said.

“I was pretty nervous though, like on a scale from 1 to 10, I was about a 7,” Reibenstein said.
