After exploring downtown Kansas City for the first time on Friday January 2, 2015,  I have discovered my love for Kansas City. Our city is filled with many amazing things.

Our first stop on our downtown adventure was 39th street. My friends and I ate at this amazing pizza place called d’Bronx. We then went to Properso’s Books. It was a bookstore that was filled with old books. It had a spiral staircase that led down to the basement. The upstairs reminded me of something out of an old movie. It was a big open space that smelled of old books. It had old chairs and an old desk with a map of the country on it. We then went to a record store down the street. It had a bunch of records and poster of old bands. It was a really cool place because I had never been to a record store or even held a record. Our next stop was West Bottoms. A bunch of the old warehouses had been turned into antique shops that was three levels and in every nook and cranny you would find another vintage or antique object.

If you have said that we live in a boring place then you have yet to truly see our city. So grab a couple of your close friends, get out of your comfort zone and go exploring. Kansas City Missouri is filled with amazing things.
