Lady Antebellum Owned the Night

(Warning: This review is filled with tons of cheesy puns!)

On Friday, August 21, 2015 Lady Antebellum performed at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, Kansas and brought along two other awesome country singers. Sam Hunt and Hunter Hayes were the opening acts who each performed several songs. Sam Hunt started the show and definitely got the crowd going. Almost everyone was standing up, shouting the lyrics, and dancing like nobody was watching (yes, of course I took part too)! To kick things off, Hunt really took his time to get the crowd amped up with several songs from his album “Montevallo.” By the end of his act, the concert really began to be a house party; everyone was dancing like they wanted their ex to see. Hunter Hayes came on next; his act was a lot more calming and not as loud as Hunt, yet was still amazing. I kind of wanted some more crazy songs, but in such a large audience I probably seemed invisible. I wish there would have been a storm warning before Lady Antebellum came on stage because they were alarmingly great. As Lady Antebellum sang a bunch of their hit songs and got the crowd chanting along, they totally owned the night. During Lady Antebellum’s performance, they came into the middle of the crowd so they would be closer to the whole audience and no one could take their eyes off them. I would say this concert was a huge success and would absolutely recommend buying tickets to their show if they ever come downtown again!
