Happy Fortunate Friday everyone! In Eagle’s View, we are always so fortunate to the people who read our newspapers, support our work and our studies, and of course, we are so fortunate for our staff! For the rest of the year, we will be spotlighting many of our North Staff for everything they’ve done for us. Today, we have Rolland Yoakum from the Math wing! We are so fortunate for you Mr. Yoakum!

 

Q: About your family:

RY: I’m married and have two boys, one attended here at North, and the other attended Liberty, Married for 30 years this year.

Q: What are your favorite hobbies?

RY: I read when I’m not teaching math, and I run, I’ve run a few marathons and want to run another in May.

Q: Sports (watching or playing)?

RY: I’m not a big fan of watching sports but I do run, so.

Q: Where are you from?

RY: I’m from here in Liberty, I attended Liberty Public Schools

Q: What brought you to North?

RY: Well, I like liberty schools, and I wanted to come teach at one of the high schools and I really preferred the staff and administration here at North.

Q: Who are you fortunate for?

RY: Oh! My family and I’m fortunate for my coworkers.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

RY: Seeing students overcome a hurdle and feel good about themselves.
