Valentine’s Day Activities

Valentine’s day is filled with reds and pinks and hearts but what do girls really want on this day to spend with their special person? Valentine’s day is known for the heart shape boxes of chocolates, roses, and teddy bears but that is not the only thing that boys should do for their girls/crushes on this day.

“I would want to go out and eat with my boyfriend. I would love to be surprised by being taken to a nice sit down restaurant and have a nice conversation with them. My favorite place to do that would probably be Capitol Grill,” junior Taylor Eccles said.

A popular trend to do with girlfriends/boyfriends is watch movies at night with them. 50 Shades of Grey is a movie that girls have been wanting to watch. The movie is categorized as romantic, which fits with the theme of Valentine’s Day.

“I always like to just spend time with my boy and watch Netflix at his house or my house. It’s a good time to watch good movies and just relax and talk to each other,” sophomore Taylor Nead said.

Although it has not been feeling a lot like winter, the skating rink by Crown Center does not close until the end of February.

“I would want a guy to take me ice skating on Valentines Day because you get to be close to someone you have feelings for and it’s a lot of fun,” freshman Sara DeGarmo said.

Candy, teddy bears, and activities can be fun with your girlfriend/boyfriend/etc but no matter how you spend your Valentine’s day, it should be fun because you will be with the ones you love.
