The Bloody Blood Drive

If you didn’t attend the yearly blood drive, well you really missed out on a great cause. Personally, I don’t attend these drives because OUCH! To the good people who actually donate: God bless you! You are the brave souls that out-do us weenies.

“The blood drive went great! I was nervous that I wouldn’t finish and make it to my first hour in time. I’ve donated blood numerous times going to back to when I was in high school, so I know what to expect,” said Mr. Warner.

If you are thinking about donating blood next year, you should! It is a great cause, and it doesn’t hurt that bad. Plus the process of donating blood doesn’t take very long for you impatient ones out there.

“It only hurt a little bit. Just when they initially put the needle in my arm. It was really quick too. I timed myself this morning-it took me just under 6 minutes to fill the bag. Overall, the whole process took less than 30 minutes. I like to donate when I can. It is convenient for me to donate when they come to school. Overall, I am very happy I decided to donate blood,” said Mr. Warner.

If you are looking to skip a few hours in the school day, this is a win-win for sure! The process is very structured too, so there are no reasons to be concerned.

“I am glad I donated blood because I got miss a few hours of school. The setup was quite simple. First you sign in, and fill out your paperwork. Then they call out your number, lay you down, prep you, and get your blood,” said senior Kayla Thomas.

Overall, everyone was glad they got to donate to a good cause. So think about donating blood next year!

“The blood drive was good because I was actually able to donate this year,” said senior Kayla Thomas.
