Since the opening of North in 2010, the Liberty North Basketball Team has already established a rich tradition. Claiming the district titles in 2012, 2013, and 2014 as well as reaching the final four in 2012 and 2013, Liberty North and head coach Mr. McCabe expects nothing but winning from there local basketball team.

“It is defiantly hard living up to this teams past success, but we have returned some great players and kids to this team who are determined to keep the ball rolling,” Senior Center Luke Jackson said.

North returns Michael Hughes, Cale Hanson and Matthew Richards, who contributed large minutes and numbers to last years squad. The team does suffer a huge loss in the schools all time leading scorer and leading rebounder in Brinkley Jolly.

“The lose of Jolly defiantly hurts because he was such a force in the lineup and a leader in the locker room, but this team move on and find success,” Jackson said.

Even with the lose of Jolly the expectations for this team remains the same as before as the team contains a senior heavy lineup and many returning starters from last year.

“I believe this team will come out in stride. We have meshed well in practice and have practiced well as a team.” Jackson said.

This team looks to hold the district championship title and keep the winning tradition going.
