Fired up over Google

Browsers and online searches, there will never be too many. Whether you choose Chrome or Firefox, Google or Yahoo!, sometimes they don’t even matter.
“I think that Chrome is actually better than Firefox, and definitely Google. Yahoo isn’t really reliable,” Freshman Carter Yeates said.
Though it depends on the computer that is used, be it a PC or a Mac, sometimes one browser is better than the other.
“I really prefer Yahoo over Google, mostly because the school hasn’t blocked all of it’s features,” Freshman Tyler Gough said.
It is true that the school hasn’t blocked all of these features and sometimes it can’t. The school can’t block google sites and they have actually let up on some of the restrictions.
“We can finally use the sites we previously weren’t able to use. I can listen to Spotify again,” Yeates said.
The reason that these really helpful sites have been blocked is because they actually haven’t been seen as useful. In the first week of school we could go on Netflix and now we can’t but there is always a way to watch Netflix.
“Sure, you can still watch Netflix or play some computer game but the risks are far greater than the reward, I don’t want to be called to the office and have my computer taken away. I have school work to do,” Gough said.
Sticking with the unblocked sites that we use to learn, grow, and succeed in school is the best plan of action and tends to be the best way to stay out of trouble and keep in school, but there will always be the one person who breaks the rules and gets caught in the end.
“I still wish I could visit Facebook or Instagram on my computer, but I can go on and survive without them. I can definitely go without seeing the a popular girl’s selfie in the bathroom,” Yeates said.
