 Driving is what every teenager looks forward to when they are coming up on age 16. Finally being able to go where they want, when they want. What most teenagers don’t realize is how dangerous driving is. Tragic accidents that in in fatal injuries happen every day because of countless things, like texting while driving or simply not paying attention.

  “I would tell young teenagers to make sure you’re always paying attention and don’t text and drive. You aren’t the only driver on the road so what you do can affect other people. You can’t just pay attention to yourself you also have to pay attention to your surroundings and the people you are by,” Junior Jazmyn Tosspon said.

  Being in a car accident can be a traumatic experience depending on how bad the crash is. The severity of car accidents can vary from just a tap on the bumper to a totaled car due to being T boned. Some people have trouble getting back in the car and feeling safe while other go on through life just as normal.

  “My driving hasn’t really changed drastically but I guess I am paying more attention. The accident didn’t really have that big of an effect on me. I still feel comfortable in cars and don’t have any problem driving around,” Senior Michael Wansing said.
