The “King of Rap” Rocked KC

Lil Wayne, one of the hottest rappers alive hit the streets of Kansas City on August 22nd for his latest “I Am Still” tour. With featured guests like Lloyd, Far East Movement, Keri Hilson, and Rick Ross, the concert was a huge hit.

Kicking off the concert was Lloyd with some of his top songs like “Get it Shawty”, “Cupid” and “Lay it down”. They way he stepped on the stage was fun and interesting to watch, only because of his dance moves, but he knew how to keep the crowd pumped for other reasons, too.

As the other performers were just acting as “filler” material until Lil’ Wayne hit the stage, they kept the crowd dancing and excited. After Lloyd, was Far East Movement. I really enjoyed them because they constantly had their hit songs loud and bumpin’, but with the stage effects they had with their songs, it made it all the better. Laser lights were shooting in every direction, which made it all the more a humbling experience.

Keeping the crowd rocking was Keri Hilson who sang her top hits such as “Energy” and “Pretty Girl Rock”, plus many more. She had a fabulous outfit changes and her personal DJ made the experience 10x better. “When I say what time is it…I want all you pretty ladies in the crowd to answer…No Boys Allowed, because that’s the title of Keri’s new album hitting the stores soon…so Ladies, What time is it? NO BOYS ALLOWED!” the ladies in the crowed answered. It made every girl in the crowd feel special because the one and only Keri Hilson included the ladies in her part of the concert.

Up next was Rick Ross and he was probably my favorite. He rapped all of his biggest hits and included the crowd just like Keri Hilson did. He made his grand entrance with fireworks and loud music playing to let everybody know Maybach Music’s King was in the building. Rick Ross truly made the concert out of all of the featured artists.

And last but certainly not least, Lil Wayne hit the stage. With flashing lights and a digital screen with live feed from the audience, he started the main part of the concert off right. “I want all of you to know…that I love each and every single one of you ladies and gentlemen in here tonight. Because without you…I would not be where I am today, and that is…a self made…billionaire.” Lil Wayne said to the crowd. The way he yelled it, made the crowd go wild. His songs were awesome and kept the crowd dancing, just like his other featured performers.

Although, I feel that Lil’ Wayne was the best part of the concert, I do have to say that everybody else, did amazing. The way every one of those artists performed made it a once in a lifetime experience. I have to vote this concert one of the best concert’s I have ever been to and I had the time of my life.
