Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors

Like a flashlight in a dark room, Student Ambassadors help to lead new students through the halls of Liberty North High School. The main priority for this club is to be the face for new Liberty North students and parents. Sophomores and juniors have the ability to apply for a position in this club for their junior and senior years of high school.

As new students enter each school year, it is up to the Student Ambassadors to show them around, and also to help them feel comfortable. “My favorite thing about Student Ambassadors is being able to help new students become affiliated with our school. It’s really like getting to meet new people and develop new relationships,” senior Kevin Page said.

During the school year the Student Ambassadors help out with many events such as the New Student Breakfast, the Foreign Exchange Student Breakfast, Parent- Teacher Conferences, and countless other volunteer events. “My favorite event so far this year was the New Student Breakfast because I did not realize how many new students there were at Liberty North this year. It was awesome to get to know them while we ate pancakes and played games,” senior Hattie Zelenak said.

Along with many of the exciting things that come along with Student Ambassadors, there are also many challenges. “I think that the biggest struggle with many Student Ambassadors is coming up with conversation starters with the new students. So, it is important as a Student Ambassador to be very open and outgoing with the people we help,” junior Payton Wolff said.

Not only do the Student Ambassadors help other people, it is also a part to help themselves and finish many of their own accomplishments. “Through Student Ambassadors I hope to help new students to find their own place at Liberty North and make sure they feel welcome,” Page said.
