Senior Column: Shelby Grego

Man, I can’t believe this is really happening. The day I thought would never actually come is right around the corner. Now, I am just as excited as everyone else to be out of high school. I mean really, it’s going to be awesome moving on to the next chapter of my life. However, I am honestly going to miss high school. While most of you are probably out there complaining about high school and how you can’t wait to get out of this “Hell hole”, but I couldn’t disagree more.

I have had the time of my life at Liberty North. There are so many highlights and memories to look back on. Things we’ve all enjoyed together; football games, school dances, sports, clubs, and even the student section. These are things we will never be able to re-do, or forget. All we can do is look back on our experiences and remember all the good times we shared with our friends, and even our teachers. My experience at Liberty North has been better than I ever could have imagined. I don’t think all of you understand how lucky we are to have had the opportunity to be apart of such an amazing school. This school has meant the world to me, and I must admit, it is going to be hard to let all of this go.

As I open the next page in my life, I want to say thanks to all of you; my friends, my acquaintances, my teachers, my family, all of you. Regardless of how much we talked or what we did together, you have all made a difference somehow in my life. Not to be cliché or anything, but I think it is necessary to quote High School Musical at this time, when I say; “We’re all in this together” which is so true, when you really think about it. No matter where the wind blows us after graduation, we can always look back on our high school years at Liberty North High School and think of all the times we were in it together.
