Practice, Practice til Oliver is Perfect!

The development of the musical Oliver has taken place here at North already. Auditions were Thursday, November 16; The new cast and crew were chosen Friday, November 17 and the students are pumped up to bring Oliver to life.

“We are all really excited, I’m even excited. I hear about how no one can wait to perform their part in the musical when were practicing on stage” Junior Rachelle Hasapes said.

To start off such a great musical, people need to be chosen to play a character.

“Auditions very casual. They actually gave us a lot of time to read the script over and rehearse the skits together which gave us confidence when we performed” Hasapes said.

No matter how good the players are in the game, practice makes perfect.

“I have missed two practices, but I do know that we all know each other. We’re all comfortable at practice; practice is after school everyday in the new auditorium til about four or five until the week of the play, then we practice until about seven or eight. We go through the main characters lines, we practice expressions and scenes with them too. I’m in the choir so soon we’re gonna go practice with Mr. Heartland as a chorus” Hasapes said.

The musical is February 16-18 and times will be announced. Though there is no doubt that this will bring music to the audiences ears.
