Paying Less for Your Dress

Go big or go home-the motto of all mottos when dealing with Homecoming. But no one ever said to “go big” you have to break the bank.

Finding that fabulous Homecoming dress not require girls to empty their pockets.  They need to open their eyes to a wider range of options. They need to open their eyes to- Retail stores.  Finding a dress can be as simple as going to a retail store just down the street, or might one dare suggest, even a thrift store.  It doesn’t have to be looking fab or saving money, it can be both if people just look in the right places.

“If I go to homecoming, I’m going to get my dress from Kohls or Delia’s.  They’re cheaper there, yet they can still be stylish,” sophomore Mady Roberts said.

A great night requires a great look.  Places like JCPenney, Kohls, Delia’s, and Marshals supply Homecoming dresses for all sizes and styles, and what’s even better is the price.  A dress at one of these stores ranges from $20-$100, whereas looking at a store like David’s Bridal or Macy’s can cost anywhere from $80-$260.

For even cheaper, go to a store like ½ of ½.  They take half the price of a department store and slash that price in half.  With hundreds of dresses to choose from, it would be unheard of not to get a catch.

Homecoming is coming, and it is coming fast.  Girls are now on the lookout for that dress that will make them stand out of the crowd on this much anticipated night.

Girls need to put that hard earned money back in their pocket.  There are other options that do not require breaking open that precious piggy bank.
