Opinion: Go Out of Town for Spring Break

I know many people agree spring break is a time to forget about school and relax at home, but is home really the best place to be? I know some disagree, but I think spring break is best experienced in somewhere outside of Liberty, whether it be at the beach or even at Grandma’s house. Some may argue that vacations are too expensive, and that’s true. However, people don’t realize that there are so many opportunities for fun without having to empty the wallet!

1). A resort/water park-

Whether it be while on vacation or downtown Kansas City, there are a number of resorts to consider staying in while on spring break. Great Wolf Lodge, for example, is a hotel loaded with activities and events to do while relaxing. The hotel offers spas, shopping, and more– plus, who doesn’t love huge indoor water parks?

2). A relative’s house-

As boring as it may sound, sometimes visiting relatives is a great way to get the mind off of school and stress. Although relatives can be irritating sometimes, spending time with family in different parts of the state or country always open doors to new experiences and relaxation.

3). Branson-

Many people have gone to Branson when they were younger, but visiting as a teenager can be just as fun! Being a young adult means we can experience new things that we couldn’t when we were younger. Branson has tons of shows and comedy acts family friendly and enjoyable for people of all ages! In addition, they have lots of shopping opportunities.

All in all, when creating spring break plans within the next few days, please consider all of the options before deciding on just staying home. There is a world out there to experience, and you can’t do that staying at home watching TV!
