High school is like the wacky worm roller coaster at Worlds of Fun. It had its ups,
and it had its downs, its twists and turns, and bumps in the road, it was sheltering
yet freeing, and it ultimately was fun. But as that roller coaster comes to the last
bend, in the track you realize that it’s time to move up from the comfort of the
toddler roller coaster to something bigger like the college ride of the Mamba. It’s
saddening and scary but everything on that toddler roller coaster prepared you for
the big one. Every teacher that supported the tracks, the parents who propelled you
on the tracks, and me as the operator. It’s a scary thought that in a couple of months
I’m going to go off to college and build my own roller coaster of life. It may crash
and burn but if that’s what it takes to build the perfect roller coaster for me then it’s
worth it to try try again. So over all the teachers, staff, parents, friends, and family
that helped me through all these years to build a sturdy home coaster I thank you.
And heck, if you want to test out my coaster in the future when it’s perfected with its
ups, downs, loops, twists, turns, and bumps, feel free to hop on. It’s free.
