Operation: Positive is a great program started by FCCLA. In my everyday life, I know that seeing the positive posters in the hallway are a great pick-me-up. Knowing that I’m able to go anywhere in the school and see encouraging words is a great motivator for my off days. And when I’m in a funk, just being able to go talk to someone who cares is an huge help. The people who run Operation Positive are looking for ways to encourage the students and staff of Liberty North, and reach out and increase positivity in the community. Over the weekend they handed out positive quotes at the Liberty Cosentino’s Price Chopper, which was approved by Lou DeMarco.

In coordination with STUCO’s efforts to make school a more positive place, and with teen suicide numbers on the rise, Operation Positive plays a key role in keeping students motivated and positive. I feel like the we need to stay encouraged in our daily life, and what better way to do that than have people see positive things wherever they go during the school day?   I hope that they continue with their efforts and continue to make the school a more positive and encouraging place.
