The recent talk about a new football stadium has created misunderstandings between students, teachers and Liberty Public Schools. A new football stadium is not the only new building idea being discussed, one of the many reasons Liberty wants to have a ‘Levy’ is to support Liberty North. In short terms, North is not finished. There is plenty of building left to be done, but the bond of money that Liberty Public Schools has for North to support the building, is running low. In order to expand North’s building, Liberty needs more money. This is why a ‘Levy’ is being released to the public, there needs to be a vote about what the people in Liberty think about all the building going on.

There are always good and bad things about change though, in order to expand North and provide Liberty High School with a football stadium, Liberty will have to have a tax increase to pay for them. If the Levy is not passed then Liberty will continue to have football games at William Jewell College; thus football games will more than likely be later Friday’s or they will be Thursday nights.
