“E-A-G, L-E-S, Liberty North is the Best”. This chant was heard loud and proud, in Liberty North’s Homecoming game Friday night, October 7. North made the best of a game with a full crowd and a large amount of school spirit as well, to come away with a victory.

“What made the homecoming game great was that we were all into the game. We all were pumped. We all dressed up to support our team,” Junior Dakota Blankenship said.

The Eagles played extremely well under the spotlight with a final score of 27-14 against the Raytown Blue Jays. The team jumped off to an early lead, and never really let up throughout the entire game. The game went extremely well for the Eagles, and the fans could not help but have a good time during the game as well. Whether it was dressing up for the big game, repeating the team chants, or just cheering hard for the home team, many were ready for a great night at William Jewell College.

“I was really glad to see success with our football team. It’s really heartwarming to see how hard work can pay off when a team comes together,” Junior John Barry said.

The Halftime show included the Liberty North Eagles Marching Band, as well as its drum line. Homecoming King and Queen were announced in a ceremony as well, with Seniors Bailey Williams and Kane Sheek taking home the crowns. Halftime involved the Eagles Cheerleaders, dance team, band members, and homecoming finalist, giving each group a truly special moment on the field.

“It was very unexpected to be announced homecoming king, but when they called my name I was pleasantly surprised. I was very excited and was happy to realize that my hard work had paid off,” Senior Kane Sheek said.

Liberty North Homecoming including; a number of exciting plays by the football team, a large amount of team spirit displayed, a loud and proud Eagles Band, North’s latest Homecoming King and Queen Selections, and a victory for the ages.
