Got Trailers?

Another change students will have to face next year is the increased number of learning pods. As of now the school has one trailer with two classes, and that amount will increase greatly by next school year. Many students will have to go outside for classes multiple times a day. Students’ attitudes on this subject do not seem to be optimistic.

“Trailers are going to suck because we’re going to look dumb being a brand new school with lots of trailers. It’s going to be hard going to and from classes on time when you have to come all the way from a trailer outside,” sophomore Hunter Kellgren said.

Along with students being worried about making it to time on class some kids are also not looking forward to walking outside in the cold winter months.

“I do not want to be walking in and out of school multiple times a day. When it’s cold I do not want to have to put on a jacket to go to class. It will be even worse going outside if it is raining, or snowing. I don’t think it’s fair that juniors and seniors have to have classes out there too,” junior Ryan Sidoti said.

Teachers that are moving to the trailers for next year are both excited and nervous for the change.

“Next year all math classes are going to be in trailers, so I have to move out there. It will be nice because there will be less distractions than in the building. Although, it will be a big change teaching out there,” math teacher Stephanie Taylor said.

The added trailers are an aspect of the school that students will learn to adjust to. The trailers are unavoidable, but that does not put students minds at ease when they think about the many trailers Liberty North is going to have in the upcoming years.
