Footlocker Enjoys Short Stint in NFL

When selling shoes to the usual customers, Footlocker Employees display attire unlike many other companies. With a whistle necklace, white shoes, black pants, and a referee shirt, they bring a certain appeal to their company that others rarely replicate. That being said, the employees of footlocker should never again, be authorized to officiate an NFL Football game.
September 24th, 6:30 PM, referees gather for a small meeting before they separate to partake in officiating duties while the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers prepare for their latest match up. As the referees foresee opening kickoff, the average fan can smell the fresh breeze of optimism, can see the sweat beads on the players face as game time hype begins to kick in. Fans have witnessed errors and omissions on a fairly consistent basis by the referees. But, on this night, nothing has really tipped the scales for a clear debacle and riot over the particular issue. The referees are not straight from the Footlocker Department Stores, but they are Division III College Referees replacing proven veterans, and this time they showed a little too much weakness at their profession.
The Green Bay Packers came into the game believing they had a very legitimate opportunity to leave Century Link Field with the win. When 8 seconds was left on the game clock, and the Packers were staring at a 12 to 7 lead, confidence and optimism was still clearly visible. 8 seconds later, no one wearing a cheese head hat or a white and green jersey was smiling. 8 seconds later, Packers nation was a still and dull murmur. Meanwhile, thousands of fans across the nation would not be as quiet about the issue that occurred.

Little miniscule mistakes have been a part of nearly every game that the Replacement Referees participated in. None received a bigger reaction then the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers on Monday Night. Small errors by the referees were frequent but, with 8 seconds left in the game, the officiating crew cost the Green Bay Packers a victory. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson fired desperation Hail Mary Pass to the left corner of the end zone, intended for wide receiver Golden Tate. Tate pushed a Packer to the ground and then jumped in the air. He ended up coming down with the ball, along with the Green Bay Packer player. Yes, the offense player over rules the defensive player, thus it would be a touchdown. Though, Tate committed Offensive Pass Interference, so the replacement referees blew an NFL game that was being viewed in Prime Time, on a Monday night, in front of millions of fans. Inexcusable.
It can be said that many people have been arguing about whether or not the NFL should bring back the regular officiating crew. Though, it could also be said that you shouldn’t wear a seat belt, and you should drink alcohol while you are driving. It is just not logical to take any stance on this topic except to get back the referees that can minimize errors and omissions. September 26th, two days after the infamous Monday Night Football Game, referees have been reinstated. Lets just hope, we never have to go without the proven veterans who truly belong wearing the whistle.
