Fibs in February?

Last time I checked people didn’t like liars. Now look, I’m all about quirky traditions and what not, but it seems like that dang groundhog just can’t seem to tell the truth. Every year on February 2nd when the infamous creature of Groundhog’s Day comes out from its burrow, crowds everywhere are watching to see if he has good news or bad news.

This year, the Groundhog came out and claimed that he had not seen his shadow. Well, that was great news for all of us, this meant Spring was coming! Cheers for sandal and Capri weather! However, as a couple of weeks passed, it was obvious that Spring had not sprung. We even experienced not one, but two Snow-pocalypses! While the snowstorm did shut down school for a couple of days, I am getting really sick of the snow that can’t seem to melt. In addition to all the snow, the weather has been so cold and windy that it almost hurts to go outside.

This same time last year, it was so nice out that everyone was wearing shorts and tank tops, I even had my swimming pool up and running! Going into Spring Break we should definitely not have snow on the ground. All I’m saying is I don’t know how much longer I can deal with all of this cold weather, it has got to heat up soon! Hopefully this groundhog will get his stuff together for next year so we don’t have to worry about him bursting our bubbles anymore.
