Begin…Phase III

Talk has been going around about “phase three”, but what is phase three?

Depending on the outcome of a vote in November,  the school will possibly  undergo another growing process or stage called phase three.  This will create more space for students and faculty/staff.  As of now Liberty North High School accommodates for 800 students.  Phase three will double that amount.  It will accomplish this by adding two wings onto the building. The two multi-story extensions will be added to the math/social studies halls and the science/business halls.  “Doubling the occupancy amount will help out the school a lot and make it a more comfortable learning environment for students and staff ” said Principal Dr. Jacobs.

The new extension on the science wing will feature six new class rooms on the main floor.  The upper floor will have new international language classrooms, new journalism rooms,  and a language lab.  The math and social studies hall extension will feature a new computer lab, new business and special education class room on the main floor and the old business class rooms will be used for their original purposes.  On the upper floor more Math/Social Studies rooms will be added. “It’s essential to give the school the size it needs to move the ninth graders in and relieve over crowding of the lower levels. I’m excited for the new International Language Hall and Lab being close to us.” said Teacher Senora Lynn.

Along with Phase three on the November Ballot, there will be an addition onto Liberty High School, building the district stadium, and build a new elementary.
