Why School Year Vacations Are Better Than Summer Vacations

It’s thirty two degrees outside the week before Christmas. Instead of bundling up and heading to your grandparents, you’re packing for a week long vacation in Mexico. Of course everyone is jealous because they know you’ll be returning with a tan while they are stuck being pale until at least April.

“It’s great being able to go on a vacation during the school year instead of summer break because it’s a nice break from school, and it can make your trip more exciting. It is a little stressful trying to make up school work though.” said freshman Sophia Bolin.

Making up school work can be a downside to going on vacation during the school year, but even most teachers seem to understand, and some can even relate. But having a nice break from all your school work besides the scheduled breaks can be really nice. Even taking a long weekend can be just what a student needs to get through the rest of a semester or year. Not to mention the bragging rights you get when getting to leave for a couple days.
