Trying to Beat the Heat

It is not hard to notice the drastic temperature change here at North today. Usually when students and teachers arrive at school, instant goose bumps cover the arms and legs. Today, walking into North was something like walking into the Sahara Desert.
“It is hotter than the devil’s toenails in here,” junior Ciara Scott said.
Word on the street was that other schools and buildings, including the district office was at a loss of air conditioning as well.
“I think a school full of high school students who already have a hard time concentrating should be at the top of the list to get fixed,” senior Micaela Patterson said.
The big change in temperature at North today is giving students something to talk about, and also something to distract them from focusing on schoolwork. The plan is for the air conditioning to be fixed and up-and-running by tomorrow morning.
“Usually I complain about the normally chilly temperature in school, but if I come to school tomorrow and it is freezing like it normally is, I will be relieved,” senior Brittany Moore said.
