Trunk-or-Treat

Trunk-or-Treat

On Wednesday October 25th, Liberty North High School hosted their annual Trunk-Or-Treat event! Trunk-Or-Treating has its own unique concept.

“Cars are so little, but you can do so much with it. It’s just so exciting to go around and see what is happening with each car,” senior Shayla Leski said.

At Liberty North, clubs usually sponsor a trunk and sometimes even set a certain theme for that trunk.

“Some clubs have themes, I’m using a car for NHS and our theme is Minions, for Key Club, we don’t have a theme,” Leski said.

Events like these can bring many parts of a community together.

“It’s so much fun, everyone is just together. All these different kids come and everything is decorated, it’s great,” Leski said.

For others, creativity is what brings them to the event.

“I like it because you get to go around and view other people’s own creations that they do for their cars,” junior Journey Troxler said.

The social aspect of Trunk-Or-Treating

“It’s way more fun than just going to each house and ‘ding dong’ and then getting the candy. You get to meet people and socialize more,” Troxler said.

This year, however, had a change of plans.

“I’ve done trunk or treat for the past couple of years and this is the first year we’ve been inside,” senior Mary Kimmerle said.

The weather won’t rain on this trunk or treat parade!

“It’s pouring down rain right now, but we’re making the best of the situation,” Kimmerle said.

Inside the fieldhouse, where trunk or treat took place, there were many costumes and club tables to be seen. One club theme was Barbie, inspired by the summer blockbuster which was the highest grossing film of the summer.

“Everyone’s set up really nice and it looks really fun. We’re having a really good turnout so far, so I’m excited,” Kimmerle said.
