Snow Day Recipes!

If you’re stuck inside or just plain bored and there’s snow on the ground, then why not try your hand at few of these snow recipes!

 

-Snow Ice Cream:

What you need: 8 cups snow, 1 14 oz can Sweetened Condensed Milk, 1 tsp. vanilla. What to do: combine in a large bowl and stir constantly. Enjoy!

 

-Maple Snow Candy:

What you need: 1 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup salted butter, 1 cookie sheet with packed clean snow. What to do: Heat syrup and butter in a medium saucepan on medium heat until mixture thickens. Use a spoon to pour into strips on packed snow. Let sit for 5-8 seconds then peel off snow. Enjoy!

 

-Homemade Snow Cones:

What you need: 3/4 cup sugar, 3/4 cup water, 1 packet Kool Aid, 1 cup snow (per snow cone). What to do: Bring sugar and water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Take off heat and add in Kool Aid. Mix well. Put mixture into refrigerator until cool. Drizzle on top of ice.

 

-Snow Pancakes:

What you need: 2 cups flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 eggs, 1&1/2 cups milk, 1&1/2 cups snow. What to do: Sift together dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Combine wet ingredients in another bowl then slowly incorporate the wet ingredients into the large bowl of dry ingredients. SAVE SNOW FOR LAST. Heat griddle, then fold snow into your batter. Cook pancakes as usual.
