Pre-med, teacher, army, accountant? Missouri University, Kansas University, Nebraska University, Texas University? There are so many choices. Liberty North is giving students an opportunity to check out some colleges that they might be interested in. it may be difficult for some Liberty North students to know exactly where are what they are going to major in, but there are also other reasons why the colleges come to Liberty North for.

“There are many benefits of the colleges coming; students get to hear more about the college from the admissions rep which typically is a graduate of that school. Often times, college application fees are waived for attending. Students will learn about scholarship opportunities that the schools have to offer. Students can actually ask questions to someone face to face instead of over the phone or on the internet.” Counselor Dana Combs said.

The college visits aren’t only for juniors and seniors, but it can also be anyone in Liberty North interested in getting ready for college or setting up for post secondary school.

“The college visits are very important for students and parents to go together because applying to college and choosing college is a very important decision. Attending the college fair will help students, and parents understand the college application process, and what colleges match their interests.” principal Dr. Marty Jacobs said.

“I went because I thought it was another school, but it ended up being a different school then I originally thought. It’s also important to look at all your options and you never know which college will be right for you.” junior Haley Barbour said.
