Senior Girls Lock In

Over the weekend Liberty North Hosted their fourth annual senior girls lock in. The evening was filled with many activities, food and laughter. The girls kicked the evening off buy lining Eagle Avenue with Posters.

“We spent hours making posters. The purpose behind the posters is for the school to have a sense of community. It’s a chance to really show our school spirit,” senior Abigail Daughtery.

As you walk into school this Monday morning, you will notice that North has acquired some new decorations curiosity of the senior girls. There are wide variety of posters supporting all the activities students here at North take part in: basketball, swim and dive, theater, pottery club, Mr. North, wrestling and many more. Their were also posters to show this week court warming festivities, like poster that had this years theme “Where stars, stripes, and Eagles Fly,” an extraordinary take on the Rosy the Riveter poster made by Kayla Ross, and posters with the names of this years court warming king and queen candidates.

The senior girls lock in is a chance for all the girls to come together one last time before graduation. We can set aside all of our busy schedules, activities and everything else that separates us.

“I like seeing everybody here. It’s nice to get all together before we all graduate since we are all busy with our own activities,” senior Katherine Herick said.

The senior girls lock in something that both the girls and the teachers love to take part in. To all the girls who will soon be seniors, don’t let the all-nighter and poster making scare you off. The lock in one thing that you don’t want to miss out on, it’s a great tradition that North has and hopefully will live on for many years.

“First of all the lock in is a lot of fun! Mostly importantly it is a really neat experience to se all the senior girls get together for a common purpose and work together to create lasting memories. Plus the scooter races are quite memorable,” Student Council Advisor Mrs. Plaster.
