School Spirit Savvy

School Spirit Savvy

Showing school sprit doesn’t mean having to wear a morph suit at the football games or painting your entire body with the words, “Go Eagles.” You don’t have to go overboard to show your school spirit. Students seem to be in conflict with wanting to have spirt for the football games, but not wanting to stand out too much. There are some cute ways to incorporate style and individuality into your outfit without going too crazy. One simple way to do that is to make sure to wear the Liberty North team colors. The best way to show spirit for your team is wearing navy and gold!

“Usually, I try and wear my team’s colors or wear their logo to the game,” Freshman, Chloe Clark said.

If you don’t own any merchandise with the Eagle’s colors, the best way to get affordable gear is to buy from the school store, the North Nation Station. This store has a lot of simple and stylish options to wear to sporting events that are perfect to get your spirit on for games and not look too wild.

“I wear a lot of stuff from the North Nation Station. Like at the Kearny game, I wore the camo tank. So usually, I just wear a north tee or sweatshirt, ” Senior, Emma Taylor said.

The school store isn’t the only way to find outfit ideas to wear to games. You can find out things to wear by checking social media like Pinterest or Twitter to see what everyone else is planning or to get inspired. Students can find fashionable, yet comfortable things to wear to the football games without looking too silly.

“I see what the theme is on Twitter or I ask someone and then I go to party city and buy things. Whatever the theme is, I’d pick a hat to match or I’d put on face paint to support the boys for the football games,” Sophomore, Haley Austin said.

Things like face paint and hats are great ways to makeover your outfit for sports games. Students can get these items by going to a thrift store, dollar store or somewhere that offers a variety of cute and cheap accessories. Buying add-on items like bandanas or beads are another great way to show school pride and spunk up your outfit at the same time. There are other ways show your excitement for school games without attracting too much attention. Students can just as easily get pumped for games by wearing something simple and manageable.

“Sometimes my friends and I hit up a thrift store so we can get cheap stuff because we’re probably only going to wear it once, anyway. Also, face paint is a really easy option and it automatically makes you look pumped about football. It’s really fun seeing people go all out, but it’s not hard to look spirited without breaking the bank or looking too ridiculous.”
