iPhone 5 release: Is it worth the hype?

At first, claims like a laser keyboard and a 3-d holographic projector clouded the iPhone 5’s future. Since its release, we have learned that the iPhone 5 is just the next upgrade—no major scientific leaps, there. So the question is, what makes the iPhone 5 better, if it is not insanely loaded with new features? Ryan Murphy, a senior who is well versed about the new iPhone put it this way:

“It’s 18% percent thinner as opposed to the iPhone 4s which is 8.3 millimeters thick, it’s 7.8, and the screen is 18% percent bigger and runs faster than all Google phones currently. The battery life has also improved from the 4s… it said up to 220 hours of music and 10 hours of video on full charge,” Murphy said.

So the iPhone 5 has increased its value. In fact, since Apple opened, they have sold over 440 million Apple IOS devices. However value has not affected Apple’s reasonable prices. Junior Payton Wolff needs a new phone, but wants to pay on her own. However, she does not want to sacrifice Internet and web stream availability.

“My phone is completely cracked and ruined, and I need one anyways. My upgrade’s ready and I’m excited about the bigger screen, as well,” Wolff said. The fact that the new iPhone starts at $199 dollars is convenient for most.

Despite the lack of futuristic technology, the iPhone five will be Apple’s greatest, fastest, and best iPhone yet.
