Eagle Hour

Eagle Hour is the highly anticipated “study hall,” that is starting this Wednesday. The full sixty minutes includes a time for lunch and time for students to either have free time, or if their grades are not up to par, then to get help for certain classes.

“I’m excited to have time to do work and make up any tests, so that I don’t have to do it on my own time, and come in before or after school. It’s really convenient for students and I think it’ll be good for teachers too. That way you don’t have to figure out when you can get together with a teacher because they’re already there,” senior Kylin Winters said.

Students with any D’s or F’s will have half an hour for lunch, then another half hour to go meet with the teacher whose class they are struggling in. Other students will have time to go in an out of the cafeteria and work on things as need be.

“My grades are pretty good, so I’m not really worried about them. With Eagle Hour starting I’m going to have time to do homework so I don’t have to worry about it at home. Also, it will give me the chance to see my friends more often and hang out with them at school,” senior Anna McElheny said.

Many students will have time to do the things that they need to get done and administrators and teachers feel positive about the new change to the school day, and the addition of Eagle Hour.
