Eagle Flight Night

Eagle Flight Night

The smell of fresh cooked hamburgers and hotdogs rose up into the air on Monday, August 22, as Liberty North families joined together to celebrate the beginning of yet another great school year. Many children, students, parents and teachers came out to help make the third annual Eagle Flight Night a great success.

The night began with a boom as the Liberty North band played several songs.

“The band sounded awesome! It was very evident that they have been practicing hard over the summer, and it really paid off,” senior Hattie Zelenak said.

Everyone seemed to come together as one as the band began to play the familiar Fight Song. Cheerleaders and dancers danced along to the beat, and some of the crowd clapped along.

“It was pretty neat to see the band, dance team, and cheerleaders all join together in one effort,” junior Nick Jenness said.

Though Eagle Flight Night has been going on for three years, a new tradition was started. Back to School Night was also held in collaboration, which really helped to up the attendance for the evening.

“It was kind of fun to be able to eat some free food and then head to school and introduce my parents to all of the teachers,” Zelenak said.

As Liberty North students and staff get back into the swing of things, it was a good night to relax, and set the tone for the rest of the upcoming school year.
