An Infamous Sandbox

An Infamous Sandbox

Imagine a world where the rules were all yours and everything was made of blocks. It can happen: an addictive new game has hit Liberty North. With its choice of survival or creative mode and 20th century graphics, Minecraft is becoming one of the most popular games of its time.

“I don’t spend a lot of time on Minecraft; you know, maybe like 10 hours out of the day. It is too addicting and fun. People know me by The God of Minecraft,” sophomore Ross Strada said.

Whether it is fighting off Creepers or building a sky-high castle, Minecraft’s only limits are what the mind can come up with; It’s possible to build anything you want by yourself, or with friends.

“I will start playing and then just never stop. Time will like fly by and I won’t even notice because I get so into my game. I play by myself a lot and its nice to just do whatever you want and make your own rules, but playing with friends you can get more things done faster,” sophomore KiAndre Pugh said.

It was not predictable that such a low quality, simple game could go so viral. This easily accessible game can be played on computer, phone or gaming system. A never ending sandbox could be in the palm of your hands.
