2013 Homecoming King Candidates

Homecoming King Candidates

The 2013-2014 Liberty North Homecoming King Candidates:

 Payton Reid

Involved in: Football, Baseball, Link Crew, and KNET

Most excited about: “The football game against our rivals Kearney. Nothing says Homecoming like Friday night football and getting a win. But of course the dance too, it’s fun to have a blast with friends.”

On being nominated: “I’m honored to be nominated, because I’m one of only five guys nominated out of such an awesome class filled with awesome people. I love my 2014 class and to be chosen as a leader to represent them all is really cool. It means a lot to be a part of a select group.”

 Nick Jenness:

Involved in: KNET, Student Ambassadors, Link Crew, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Football

Most excited about: “I’m looking forward to the assembly because not only is there a ton of fun things going on, but it’s a chance for the whole school to come together and show our pride.”

On being nominated: “It’s awesome to be nominated because there are so many cool and involved people in my class so I’m honored that they picked me as one of the five candidates. The whole court is amazing and I’m pumped to be a part of everything that goes into Homecoming week.”

 Raj Patel

Involved in: Debate, Student Council, National Honor Society, Diversity Council, DECA, Mock Trial, United Nations, School Store, Student Ambassadors, and Breakfast Club

Most Excited About: “The most exciting par is the dance, StuCo has a lot of crazy, wacky, stuff planned, it’s going to be great. I’m really looking forward to help plan the dance.”

On being nominated: “I’m just ecstatic. I honestly wasn’t expecting it at all. I feel so honored to be one of the five nominated. However it ends, I won’t mind, because I know all of the guys in the courtship/ kingdom are swell guys.”

Wyatt Haywood:

Involved in: Link Crew, Breakfast Club, Baseball, Football, Dance Club, Navy, and Student Ambassadors

Most Excited About: “I’m most excited about the game and the good competition we will face. I also think the dance is going to be a blast.”

On being nominated: “ I feel really excited to be nominated and it was really surprising! All the guys in the court are great guys and I feel honored to be nominated with them.”

 Luke Small:

Involved in: Band, Student Council, Football, National Honor Society, Baseball, Drum Line, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Most Excited about: “I’m definitely just most excited about being able to stand next to my friends and peers on the homecoming court. They’re all great people.”

On being nominated: It feels great to be nominated, because it is the best feeling ever to know how much my student body can care for one person. I could never have been nominated without the help of my peers. Our school has some of the best students in Missouri.”
