The Comeback Kids

The Eagles football team is on a phenomenal roll this season. Holding onto a 4-1 record, the Eagles defeated the Grandview Bulldogs yesterday on their home field. The game ended with quite a surprise as the Eagles were down 14-20 at halftime.
After a motivational speech from Coach Clemens at the half, the Eagles were ready to fight.
“I was motivated after the half because I over heard the Grandview coach call us some chumps. It made me want to work even harder,” junior Antwynn Beavers said.
Third quarter was like a different game. The Eagles were working harder than ever to hold on to their record and defeat Grandview.
“It was pretty entertaining to watch the guys do work,” junior Robin Rittermeyer said.
The fans were feeling the intensity as well as the players.
By the end of the game, the Eagles had captured a win with a score of 39-28.
“I was very happy that we pulled off the win,” sophomore Brinkley Jolly said.
The ending of the game was very exciting and worth staying out late on a Thursday night. After the game most of the fans met Liberty North to congratulate all of the boys on their great win.
