Terrible Thursdays

Many of you know my role as a football manager; how I go to the games and help our boys keep hydrated for the win. Traditionally, this is on Friday nights, which I love. Being able to stay out late with my football family, then knowing I don’t have to get up early in the morning, is what I live for. Thursday night games have ruined it all for me.

Having two schools and football team schedules forces some games to be played on Thursday nights. I absolutely hate these games because I have homework that has to be completed the next day. I do not get home until around 10:00 pm, and then I have to eat and the do a crap ton of homework. It makes balancing school and extracurricular activities a headache for me.

Due to the lack of sleep I get from staying up until 1 am, school the next day is a drag. Forced to go to every class, sit there, and not having enough brain capacity to pay attention to the lesson is worse than medieval torture techniques.

Not only are Thursday night games a hardship on me, but also the players. The fact that the game is on a school night, many fans do not show up. This effects our boys because they do not have the support they deserve. Without support from the fans, it is hard for them to push through on tough games.

All in all, Thursday games need to be rid of because they cause more trouble than satisfaction.
