Super Bowl XLVI

The Super Bowl is not just a game. Millions watch from all over. Even if they are not fans of the teams that are playing or even football fans at all, people watch. Some watch because they want to see the halftime show or they want to watch the commercials, but most watch because it concludes the NFL season and declares a national champion. The Super Bowl is a very talked about and popular, exciting game, just as it was this year.
On Sunday, February 7, 2012 the New York Giants of the NFC played against the New England Patriots of the AFC. The New England Patriots have been led to five super bowl appearances and three super bowl wins by quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick throughout the past ten years. The New York Giants, however, have recently been led by Eli Manning to two super bowl appearances and two super bowl wins, both against the Patriots.
This game was a rematch of super bowl XLII where Eli marched the Giants down the field for a comeback victory. Once again the Giants were losing with just minutes left in the game. The Giants had a nine-play 88-yard drive to give them the lead with just seconds remaining.
The Patriots drove to midfield and attempted a hail mary with the final play, but the ball was knocked down and the New York Giants were once again; Super Bowl champions.
