Q and A with KiAndre Pugh

Taking a look into the 2013 Liberty North football season with number one and coaches son, junior KiAndre Pugh.

Question 1: How does it feel to be on your second year of varsity and starting?

Pugh: “I feel accomplished. I feel like I actually do something for the team. It feels good because I’ve put in a lot of hard work.”

2: How does having your dad as a coach affect  your football and life?

Pugh: “It’s good sometimes but other times we get along and we argue. Sometimes I forget he’s my coach first before my dad and thats why we argue a lot. I think he pushes me harder than other players. It really just gives me more reason to want to make him proud.”

3: What does the team do for bonding? How does it differ from other teams?

Pugh: “Well one time we went bowling and I wished we did more stuff like that.We have a lot of team dinners and I know some teams don’t get to enjoy things like that.”

4: How does the bonding and friendships made off of the field, affect the way the team performs on the field?

Pugh: “Well Austin and I have good bond, because a group of us all hang out and we all go do things on the weekends. I think it makes us play better because we trust each other to do our job.”

5. What are the expectations for this season?

Pugh: “I hope we go to state, I think we have a pretty good chance and I hope our fans think so too.”
