March Madness Preview

Kentucky, Syracuse, Missouri, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas; are all going to dance this March. Though these teams, and many others have become a lock to participate in this year’s March Madness Bracket, the bubble watch has been on for plenty of other teams. Notable teams that are on the bubble watch this year that fall in this category include: Connecticut, Texas, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Kansas State, Purdue, and Iowa State. As time closes in on this years tourney, many teams have begun looking for their chance to get off the bubble and on to the tourney’s list.

“I would have to say that Missouri goes to the final four, but for the championship I would say the winner would either be Missouri or Syracuse. Another predictions would be that Kansas will lose in the first round,” senior Drew Hutchinson said

A few teams who are not used to making the March Madness Tourney with such ease are getting experience something new this time around. Teams that have a greater chance to make the tourney then a long while include; Murray State, Seton Hall, Indiana, Harvard, Creighton, Alabama, and Wichita State

“I would say Kentucky is going to win it all. They are the best team and have been ranked number one for a while now. Not only have they been number one but they have been a lot of really decent teams,”senior Ryan Donica said.

Every year around this time, favorites emerge to win it all. The obvious team to beat in this years tourney is the number one ranked team Kentucky. Still, Duke, Missouri, Kansas, Syracuse, and many others, do not fall far behind. Then there are the teams that seemingly come from nowhere and have plenty of surprising victories. They certainly pose a threat each and every game come time for March Madness. Will the bubble teams get hot and take down the favorites this March? Fans do not have to wait all that long to answer the question themselves.
