The boys of fall are back in action with the post season just a month away. The Royals as of now are 85-60, first in the American league central division.

“I think the Royals are doing a fantastic job with 85 wins this year. They keep improving but the Toronto Blue Jays are catching up to them with how many games they are winning, the Royals need to keep playing strong and winning games so they can keep their #1 spot in the American League,” sophomore Taylor Boeke said.

Many students here at North are rooting for another great season from the Royals. The Royals went 89-73 last season, losing to the San Francisco Giants in game seven of the World Series.

“I have had great enjoyment watching the royals all season. As a lifelong Royals fan its great to see them having a season like this. Once they get into the postseason anything can happen. They could exit quick or go all the way so I think fans should really try to enjoy every game this October,” senior Ryan Sprugal said.

With most of the team’s core still intact for the postseason, the team has its sights set on the World Series trophy.

“I think the Royals have a very good chance of going far in the World Series just like last year. I’m excited to experience the feel of post season in Kansas City again, we really come together as a community,” junior Ben Mattes said.
