When autumn arrives, an annual fall fest is held in the square for a few days. Many people often visit traditionally to participate in the various activities offered.
“I am very involved at North. I have been in eight clubs over the last four years, so I work booths and have been featured in the parade,” said senior Jillian Ware.
Some people who attend prioritize helping their clubs by running booths and manning events.
“My favorite activity is probably running the Songwriter’s club booth. As club president, I’ve had a lot of fun performing my music, talking with kids, and other students about music in general. It’s heartwarming to have kids interested in what we do,” said Ware.
There are other things to do besides running booths at the annual fall fest.
“I like all the activities at the fall fest. I like to see everyone smiling and having fun. I do not usually buy stuff there, but I like to look around and see what they have,” said senior Megan Burgener.
Many may attend the festival for multiple years in a row to potentially find new activities or vendors.
“I go yearly because it’s a ton of fun getting to see all the booths and everything people have made, as well as all the small businesses. The parade is also cool because I get to watch and see a lot of my friends in it,” said sophomore Maddy Hedden.
The fall fest can encourage others to bring whatever groups they may want to go with. People usually don’t go with one specific type of group.
“I go to the fall fest yearly with my family, but mostly just with my mom,” said Burgener.
Some may not buy trinkets or souvenirs, but instead the available food sold at venues.
“This year, I bought pulled pork and mac n’ cheese from the Pro Start food truck. It was so, so delicious,” said Ware.
