Another Five Nights

Another+Five+Nights

Hi, I’m Bryson Prindle. I’m a junior here at LNHS and this is Prindle’s Perspective. Here I will talk mostly about things going on with movies, games, and other stuff that I enjoy. You can expect a lot of talk over Fortnite updates, and new Fallout content (Most likely 76), as well as Marvel, DC, and Star Wars movies or tv series.

Holy cow. I can’t believe it’s finally happening. The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is finally releasing. We’ve waited a long time for this, so I’m just gonna hop into it. So keep an eye on the time and a light by your side because when they come to life, you’ll have no place to hide. Come join us for a bite and we’ll see if you can survive these five long nights.

Back in April of 2015, the most amazing news arrived. Warner Bros. Pictures announced they would be working on a movie adaptation of the FNAF(Five Nights at Freddy’s) video game franchise. Then in March 2017 the franchise’s creator, Scott Cawthon tweeted an announcement assigning Blumhouse Productions as the film’s new production company after Warner Bros. Pictures put the project in turnaround. Then finally, in October of 2022, we got our official director and started to get our cast list.

Who am I kidding? I haven’t even told you what FNAF is yet! Well, for those who have been living under a rock the past couple years, the FNAF series consists of horror-themed video games in which you are usually a night-time employee in a pizzeria. To progress through the games, the player must guard themselves against the animatronics in the building by using the cameras, checking the lights, locking the doors, and reserving power. While some of these tasks don’t show up in the other games, if you fail any of them, the animatronics will kill you. The games have spawned books, music, fan-made games, and other types of media throughout the years.

The plot of the movie will revolve around a troubled security guard named Mike Schmidt, played by Josh Hutcherson, who begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a fictional children’s restaurant. Fazbear’s has life-size animatronic characters resembling anthropomorphic animals that perform on a show stage. The only problem is the animatronics are possessed by the spirits of the children who were murdered there and were stuffed into the suits. Plus there’s a serial killer dressed in a yellow bunny suit looking for more victims. In the games, the yellow bunny suit was worn by William Afton when he was going to commit his murders. He was the one that killed the 5 kids at Freddy’s all those years ago, and wears the suit in order to trick children into following him into a private area before killing them.

This movie has been a long time coming and it’s bound to be good, especially with how long it’s taken to get here. Who knows, if it performs well enough, maybe we could get a sequel one day. Anyways that’s all this time. As always, have fun, stay safe, and don’t be mean to people.
