Senior Year

Senior year is often described as the best year of high school. It can be a lot of fun to rule the school, but that fun can turn to stress when deadlines come up and adult life begins.
“Senior year has been great so far, but there has been stressful situations as there would be in any time of your life,” senior Sullivan Nevins said.
Many seniors have gotten most of the high school credits they need and can just chill out when it their classes. When it comes to college and the process of becoming an adult, that is when stress kicks in because it’s something they have never had to experience before.
“It’s stressful to hear everyone else talking about what college and career they want to go into when you are so unprepared,” Nevins said.
Despite all of the responsibilities, students embrace the independence and confidence that come with growing up.
“I’m excited to be a senior because I want to be a top dog in the school. I’m not worried about too much because I think I’ll be prepared enough to handle any stress,” junior Nate Strew said.
Worrying about the future will not do much good. As long as time and work are put in early, senior year can be a breeze.
“Underclassmen shouldn’t be worried about senior year as long as they prepare early on. Even if they don’t, the ability to handle more stress comes with age,” senior Sidney Ewing said.
