The football players took the field late last Friday night with an abundance of support and fans in the stands. A home opener at the brand new activities complex with a fresh new coaching staff comes with a special kind of atmosphere. In hopes to show the senior football players some extra love in their last year, a group of senior girls set up a surprise gift giving system.

“The senior girls want to show the boys how much we appreciate their dedication to the team so every home game we go out and get them a sports drink and their favorite snack and give it to them throughout the school day, just to get them excited for the game,” Senior Claire Gibson said.

The senior class as a whole have dedicated time and focused their efforts on improving the overall school spirit of Liberty North. Select students are working closely with the sports marketing team and the athletic admin in order to keep things running smooth and aim to have the best year yet. The new found excitement for the season has impacted the guys in a positive way.

“It is really great to be able to step on the new turf with the students and fans cheering us on. The whole atmosphere to me is just amplified and allows the team to get hype,” senior Lucas Mulac said.
