Simplicity Over Extravagance

Valentine’s Day was just over a week ago, and most people have already completely forgotten about it. Whether you went out to celebrate, exchanged gifts at home, or didn’t celebrate at all, people (as well as stores) have already moved on to the next holiday. Going to show that it doesn’t matter how big and out of the box some plans were for Valentine’s, because eventually they are all remembered just as much as the simple plans, if not even less. Sometimes, the most simple yet intimate plans are remembered the most, because it’s not about all the gifts or dinner, and looking like you spent half of your paycheck on your outfit, but about the time spent with your loved ones. Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate love, and sometimes that love can get overcrowded with all the industry hype, and can be forgotten about. Think back on some of your most favorite memories. Chances are, most of them you remember so well because of the people you were with and the conversations you had, and not about how much money you were spending or how cool you looked doing whatever you were doing. So the next time Valentine’s Day rolls around, or any holiday for that matter, think first about the moments instead of how much money you can spend.
