North Swim Boys Take State

On Friday November 6 and Saturday November 7, 2015, the swim boys traveled to St. Peters, Missouri to compete in state. The team placed 16th overall in the competition. The meet was an amazing experience for the team. They took 6 boys to compete. The boys did very well, however there were some regrets.

“If I could do anything over, I would redo my personal event. I would redo it because I got 17th place, and I was so close to going to the finals,” junior, Mitchell Sevier said

The teamwork of the boys showed. They placed 16th overall, which was a huge accomplishment for the team.

“It was a good meet. We worked well as a team and we had never placed this well,” junior Max Meyer said.

The boys felt that though the state meet was a bit different than the other meets, the state meet was still a great experience.

“The atmosphere is a lot different at the state meet compared to the other meets. It’s a really fun meet, though,” junior Mitchell Sevier said.

Max Meyers agrees. Though the meet was different, it was one of the best experiences they have had at a meet.

“It was an amazing meet,” Max Meyers said.

Overall, the boys thought the season went well and knew their strengths.

“One of my best event this year was the 1500 freestyle. I also liked the 200 freestyle, but the 1500 was my favorite,” junior Max Meyer said.
